Thank you for sharing your tutorial. It's interesting to see how others do it. I like how you directly do it on a fondant plaque, great tip ;), as I normally do mine in parchment paper. I think your way is clever as the risk for breakage is zip. Does it take long to dry, though??

Thank you for sharing all your beautiful work. You are truly talented. Does the RI take longer to dry than color flow? My other question is the same as rouvelee. I often spend up my drying time by using a heat lamp.

Aww thanks to all of you for the comments. I am pretty tired now after the birthday party but my girl was happy and thats most important.
rouve: Yes so much more easy and the breakage is zip. I made the RI parts over 2 days and on the third day all was dry and ready to be painted so it dont take that long to dry.
Cakesthatrock: No I think its the same. I dont have a lamp though but I would like one to use for that. Because it should help so the RI will shine more.

Louise, great job! I was looking on tips for a plaque like this and your blog come up :-) Thanks for sharing! I'm supposed to make on for Sunday and I hope everything would be OK.
One question- did you notice a problem with the RI when you brushed the color? Didn't kind of soften or something?
I would appreciate you answer, thanks!

Did you use a different color RI for the outline and for the runny filling?
Thank you!
