Cupcakes & Mini Cakes
For decorating cupcakes I like to use buttercream, chocolate ganache, royal icing, sugar paste/RTR fondant and poured fondant. For the decor I like to use the petunia cutter used together with a silicone veiner but I also love the simple rolled rose with green leaves. Mini cakes is a nice firm cake like mud cake. covered in a thin layer of spreadable chocolate ganache and is covered with MMF, sugar paste/RTR fondant and decorated with pretty ribbons, dots and small flowers. The cake bites is made out of cake, buttercream and flavouring. They are rolled into small balls and then covered with poured fondant, chocolate or sweet sprinkles.
Whimsical Cakes
For whimsical cakes I use a very firm cake like pound cake or mud cake because you need a firm cake when you carve it into shape.
Kids Cakes
For kids cakes I mostly use my favourite chocolate cake without any filling and decorate the cake with Sugar paste/ RTR fondant.
Birthday Cakes
Is there anything better than to surprice your best friend or family with a birthday cake??? I make my cakes with lovely fruit mousses and whipped chocolate ganache.
Sugar Modelling
My favourite mixture when making sugar figurines ect is mixing sugar paste/RTR fondant with Tylo powder. For body parts I like to use a very fine marzipan also mixed with Tylo powder.
Christening Cakes
My favourite cakes is the ones for showers and christening. I love all those pastel colors and cute details.
Seasonal Cakes
I love making seasonel cakes esp. fall cakes with leaves, berries and small pine cones.
